Nina Hayes, 800-hour Certified Jivamukti Yoga Instructor, Certified Vegan Lifestyle Coach and Educator (VLCE), Board Certified Holistic Health Counselor (AADP), and Vegan Chef, is a catalyst for healthy, uplifted and joyful living. A seasoned presenter, Nina has been featured at the NYC Vegetarian Food Festival, The Boston Vegetarian Society’s Annual Meeting, and as an invited contributor on Wheeler del Torro’s Vegan Scoop book tour. A lover of vegan sweets, Nina provided greenroom vegan treats for artists’ Mos Def and Talib Kweli’s House of Blues concert. She was a featured chef at the New England Dessert Showcase’s “Chef’s Table Live!” where her Bon Bon company, Sugar Me Cookie Dough, was awarded "Best Healthy Choice" dessert. As a Yoga Teacher, Nina has instructed workshops at Jivamukti Yoga NYC, Brown University, Northeastern University, Lululemon Athletica, and corporate yoga classes for Highfields Capital, Parson's Brinckerhoff, and Oxfam International. Off the mat and out of the kitchen, Nina is a contributing writter for Elephant Journal.
Registered with Yoga Alliance, Nina is E-RYT 500 credentialed. She has trained at Samadhi Yoga in Sydney, Australia, the Omega Institute, and at the Jivamukti Yoga School in NYC, where she completed a 500 hour apprenticeship with her dear mentor, Jessica Stickler. Nina earned a Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude, in Health Science and degree in Dance from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Nina became a Certified Vegan Lifestyle Coach under the tutelage of Victoria Moran at the Main Street Vegan Academy in NYC. In 2012 she was awarded Board Certification by the American Academy of Drugless Practitioners.
Inspired to contribute to those with marginalized access, Nina has taught Adapted Dance for children with special needs at the Boston Ballet, and collaborated with Children's Hospital and Dana Faber Cancer Center researching exercise and nutrition initiatives benefitting underserved populations. Nina credits her beloved teachers Sharon Gannon and David Life, with illuminating the sacred teachings of Yoga which have provided the necessary clarity to traverse physical, emotional and spiritual challenges with tenacity, effort and abundant grace. Nina bows down to the Jivamukti lineage and all her teachers, past, present and future.
